It is important to me, and should be to you! As you may imagine I hold a lot of personal and sensitive data on my clients when you book work with me. The security of that data is very important to me, and it should be to every supplier you use. This website gives an indication of what you should look for from every photographer you use, large or small.Â
The Six General Principles for General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
1. Lawfulness, fairness and transparency – Personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner;I won’t do anything with your data that I wouldn’t want to do to my own.

I will only ask for and collect data that I NEED to run my business. Â

I don’t ask you for information that I don’t need to help me do my right – Personal data must be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date. Inaccurate personal data should be corrected or deleted;I try to be accurate, but if you move house, change emails etc then let me know. If you want to know what I hold just ask. If you want me to remove it all (including photographs) or update/amend it – just ask.
4. Retention – Personal data should be kept in an identifiable format for no longer than is necessary (with exceptions for public interest, scientific, historical or statistical purposes);I will only keep your data for as long as I need to. HMRC says about 7 years. Â
5. Integrity and confidentiality – Personal data should be kept secure. My business and your data are about as secure as I can reasonably make it.
6. Images and data are stored on my Zenfolio website and they have a full GDPR policy.Â
4.1 We may disclose your personal data to our insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice, or establishing, exercising or defence of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out-of-court procedure.Â

If you wish to request a copy of your personal data, please contact me. There is no charge for this (unless I believe the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive and,then you will be charged a fee commensurate with the time taken for me to process your request) and will get the information to you, in a form you can use, within 28 days. If you wish for your personal data to be deleted permanently then please contact me using the contact form at the bottom of the website page. You will need to provide me with suitable and verified identification, such as a Copy of your passport showing your passport photograph page, Copy of your Drivers Licence , Utility Bill showing the home address that matches your driver’s license. Date of event - I will NOT be able to delete data that is under 7 years old due to HMRC rules. For example, this will include contracts, invoices etc. Deletion is permanent. Your photographs will be permanently deleted once you have proven your identification sufficiently. They will be deleted from all my archive hard drives, from my laptop/desktop IT systems, from any cloud-based storage system, from my website and from the online gallery. I will have no way to retrieve images after this point.Â
10. On-Line ShopPayments are handled by Paypal.
This includes the processing of credit /debit cards. Mynydd Marketing Ltd does not store any credit or debit card data.Â
11. Third Party Services and Social Media
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. 
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
