At the RHS Wales in Bloom Award Ceremony held in Talgarth on September 9th, Talgarth achieved two Gold awards.
Talgarth was especially delighted to receive the awards whilst hosting the event in our Town Hall. Many residents volunteered at the luncheon attended by competitors from all over Wales. The decision for this prestigious event to take place in Talgarth was that of the RHS Wales in Bloom committee.
The Town Hall was decorated with sunflowers from Emma’s Flower Field near Llangorse and many of the blooms at the end of the day were taken to London and placed in front of Buckingham Palace. Talgarth in Bloom said, "It was a fitting way to pay tribute to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11, Patron of the Royal Horticultural Society."

The awards were primarily presented by Peter Barton-Price, Chairman and Judge of the RHS Wales in Bloom.
Other awards were presented by TV Gardening personalities, The Rich Brothers at the event.
